GRH Foundation launches staff sweepstakes to support front-line workers and local businesses

By CityNews Kitchener Staff

The Grand River Hospital and the Grand River Hospital Foundation are ensuring the “care never stops” by investing in local companies to provide healthcare staff with a respite and gift of appreciation.

The GRH Foundation announced Friday they would be launching the first-ever Staff Support Sweepstakes.

Caudle's Catch Seafood and Conestoga Mall have partnered with them for the first two weeks of sweeps, and  the Foundation is actively seeking other local companies to partner with — looking for “products and services that will make life easier for front line staff, and to invest in local businesses that have faced challenges during the pandemic,” a new release stated.

“There is simply no way our health system could have accomplished so much in this short time without the commitment and caring of our community. As we enter the summer in a better but still challenging state, we want to provide our team with things to ease their burden in their work and personal lives, given how intertwined they have become,” said Paul McIntyre Royston, President & CEO of Grand River Hospital Foundation.
