Kitchener woman charged in connection with deadly shooting in Brampton

A 20-year old Kitchener woman has been charged in connection with a shooting that happened just before midnight on New Year's Eve.

Peel Regional Police say they responded to a shooting at a home in Brampton at 11:58 p.m. Tuesday.

The victim, identified as 17-year old Jordan Henry, was located with life-threatening injuries and despite the best efforts of first responders, died at the scene.

Police arrested two people on Thursday.  The Kitchener woman, Rukhshar Wahab, is facing a charge of accessory after the fact.

22-year-old Zakaria Hassan of Hamilton was charged with first-degree murder.

Both were held for a bail hearing scheduled for Friday.

Police are still looking to identify and locate other possible suspects in the case.
