Conservatives pick federal election candidate for Waterloo

Conservatives in the riding of Waterloo have selected their candidate ahead of October's federal election.

Jerry Zhang captured the nomination over Meghan Shannon during a vote Tuesday night at the Inn of Waterloo.

Zhang is a tech consultant in Waterloo.

He also lives in the city with his wife and two children.

The election is set for October 21, 2019.
