Road closure in Woolwich after tractor downs construction poles

Waterloo regional police are advising of a road closure on Northfield Drive East in Woolwich following a collision that downed several construction poles.

Police say the roadway had to be closed Tuesday around 4 p.m. between Jigs Hollow Rd. and Sawmill Rd.

It’s due to an incident involving a tractor that struck a support wire, causing construction poles in the area to fall down.

No one was hurt but the road closure is expected to last several hours due to the required clean-up.
