Four people in hospital after possible exposure to unknown substance

Four people are in hospital after possibly being exposed to an unknown substance in Niagara Region.

Niagara emergency services responded to a call on the Peace Bridge between Canada and the United States late Thursday night.

It is unclear what substance the patients were exposed to or for how long.

The patients were reportedly put through a decontamination shower, but their condition is unknown at this time.

The Canada Border Services Agency has taken over the investigation.
