James Skinner, Founder & Executive Director, Commonwealth Freedom of Movement Organisation
Over 70,000 people from across the globe have signed an online petition, calling for free movement between the UK, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. The Commonwealth Freedom of Movement Organisation, founded in 2014, has submitted the petition to the parliaments of New Zealand and Australia, requesting political support from each country’s respective members of parliament. The mission of the C.F.M.O is to lobby the governments of the countries to finalise agreements and legislation which would make it possible for citizens to move freely with no restrictions regarding work permits or visa controls. The Founder and Executive Director, James Skinner joins us to discuss.
1:30 – RTNDA – Winners of the 2015 Regional Edward R. Murrow Awards

The Radio Television Digital News Association (RTDNA) has announced the 2015 regional winners of the Edward R. Murrow Awards – and 570 News did very well! The awards recognize the best electronic journalism produced by radio, television and online news organizations around the world. 673 awards were given out in 14 categories, including Overall Excellence, Breaking News, Investigative Reporting, and Website. In the small market radio category, three stations led the way with seven Murrows each this year, including stations in Texas, Alabama – and us!
