Cambridge man arrested after a tense four-hour stand off

A Cambridge man is in custody after a tense four hour stand off in a Cambridge neighbourhood late Friday afternoon.
Police say a man locked himself in his Poplar Drive home and may have had a weapon. They say no one was inside the unit with the man and people outside the town house were not in any danger.
However, those who live in the complex were not allowed back into their homes until after the man surrendered.
The man was arrested around 6:30 pm. without incident.
Just over a dozen officers were at the scene, including tactical officers. The canine unit from the Guelph Police Service was also brought in.
