OPP say people still are not getting the message about seat belt safety.

A long-weekend seatbelt blitz in Wellington County saw 53 drivers charged for not wearing a seat belt.

That number also includes passengers 16 years and older that chose not to buckle up.

Officers also laid 187 speeding charges, and 12 distracted driving charges.
