10:00am- Bill Knetsch, Concerned Morriston Resident, RE: Knetsch believes that a letter sent from Minister of Transportation, Glen Murray, that the Government of Ontario has no plans to place the Morriston by-pass on the 5-year construction plan or in the near future. They are however moving forward not to allow any development on the proposed route and acquiring land from the willing. Knetsch believes the project needs an “urgency to move forward” because the area cannot afford any more delays on highway #6 around Morriston.
10:30am- Paul Singh, Ward 6 Councillor in the City of Kitchener, Re: It’s been announced that Big Music Fest will rock McLennan Park in Kitchener this coming July 11-13. City officials say they kept secret plans for the Big Music Festival at McLennan Park at the request of organizers. News of the event was revealed in a provincial government funding announcement last week.
