Road resurfacing is set to begin on Nafziger Road in Wilmot Township this week.
The work will have traffic down to one lane on Nafziger between Snyder’s Road and Erbs Road for the next several weeks.
The Region of Waterloo said the work will also have a “short-term road closure of approximately three days” in place, with details shared closer to the date of the full closure.
The work is part of the region’s roads and infrastructure maintenance plan for 2026, with crews on site in the area until late October.
It comes however, as a full road closure on Erbs Road continues for bridge reconstruction.

That closure extends from Nafziger Road through to Sandhills, with Nafziger listed as the detour route for motorists heading eastbound.
That bridge work is expected to extend to mid-November. It began several months ago in mid-April.
The nearly $6 million project will see the Erbs Road bridge over the Nith River repaired, with a new deck, barrier and asphalt.
Paved shoulders and improved guide rails are also included in the new road design. Construction of the roadway itself is expected in 2028.
