12:00pm- Jay Aissa, Concerned Waterloo Region Resident, Re: Yesterday, a judge tossed out an injunction to stop phase one of the Light Rail Transit project. The injunction was filed by the group ‘Stop LRT’ who say the plan does not conform to the Regional Official Policies plan, and is also contrary to section 24 of the Ontario Planning Act. So what’s next for the group, is this the end?
12:30pm- Gilles Bisson, NDP MPP for Timmins-James Bay, Re: The NDP say the new legislation introduced this week with much fanfare about distracted driving fine increases will also make it easier for drivers licenses to be withdrawn on medical ground without a better appeal process.
