Waterloo-based Open Text is buying cloud computing company GXS Group Inc. for over $1 billion.
GXS’s services help over half a million e-commerce businesses to integrate and manage processes and transactions.
Open Text will pay about $1.07 billion of the deal amount in cash and the remaining $100 million in common shares.
