Onkle Hans meet Hal and Joanne. Kitchener-Waterloo Oktoberfest has announced the Grand Marshals for Monday’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.
This year the title goes to fitness icons Hal Johnson and Joanne McLeod who are best know for their long running BodyBreak television segments and their recent adventure on the Amazing Race Canada.
For the past 25 years the couple have been producing fitness segments to promote healthy and active living.

Both are accomplished amateur athletes. Johnson was a member of Team Canada’s baseball team while Joanne competed with Canada’s national track and field team.
During the inaugural season of the Amazing Race Canada they were eliminated in the fifth leg of the competition.
Monday’s parade starts at 8:30am in Uptown Waterloo.
