Steven Page to open 2013 Sun Life Financial Waterloo Busker Carnival

Former member of Barenaked Ladies, Steven Page will open the 25th Anniversary of the Sun Life Financial Waterloo Busker Carnival this summer.
This won’t be Page’s first time at the Carnival. 24 years ago the international musician and the rest of the Barenaked Ladies Crew debuted songs from their untitled eight-song LP.
That album was eventually named “Barenaked Recess” which included the hit single “Brian Wilson” ; a song written by Page himself.
At the time, the band was introduced as “a trio of multi-talented, tongue-in-cheek musicians…with lots of fun-filled energy”
It was enough energy to add drummer Tyler Stewart to the band who met the Barenaked Ladies at that 1990 Waterloo Busker Carnival.
