OHL back in North Bay

The Ontario Hockey League is headed back to North Bay next season.

The move of the Brampton Battalion was approved by the OHL Board of Governors on Monday.

OHL Commissioner Dave Branch says it was a difficult time a decade ago and there were hard feelings when the OHL approved the sale of the Centennials, but North Bay continues to prove it’s a hockey market.

The Centennials moved to Saginaw, Michigan in 2002 and became the Spirit.

Renovations at the Memorial Gardens in North Bay now have to be completed by August 15th.
