Regional Council is moving ahead with a plan to install automated audible and visual stop announcements on Grand River Transit buses.
Council last night approved a recommendation from the Planning and Works Committee to spend up to $855,000 on the new technology.
Still with transportation, the Region also moved a step closer to the planned widening of Weber Street between College and Union Streets.
It’s approved the hiring of Stantec to provide engineering consulting services for the project.
The consulting contract is worth up to $1.85-million.
