Kitchener Rangers fans ready for long weekend of hockey and Fan Fest

It’s an annual tradition for many Kitchener Rangers fans – the Summer Showcase and Fan Fest will once again take over the Kitchener Memorial Auditorium.

This year, the Blueshirts will also head to Elmira at the Woolwich Memorial Centre on Labour Day Monday.

Starting Friday, a total of five games will be played featuring the Kitchener Rangers of course, as well as the Erie Otters, Oshawa Generals, and Saginaw Spirit.

Fans can get their hands on general admission tickets at the door for $5 each, with children under 2 free. The cash will go towards Make A Wish Canada through Rangers Reach.

The donations have raised more than $250,000 for the program in the past 25 years.

Tickets for Monday’s Game in Elmira can be purchased here.

The celebration of everything Rangers at Fan Fest includes a player autograph session and a chance to see the Memorial Cup as well as the J. Ross Robertson Cup to take photos with.

Keep in mind, if you’re looking to meet a particular player, get there early.

The festival itself runs from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, with players giving autographs from only 10:00 a.m.-11:30 a.m., in order to be ready for the 2:00 p.m. game that day against the Erie Otters.
