Funnel clouds spotted over Region

Environment Canada has confirmed several funnel clouds around Waterloo Region. But the weather agency says the funnel clouds are very weak and not expected to touch down, or bring any severe weather to the area. Most of the sightings were reported in Kitchener.
A severe weather specialist with Environment Canada says while the clouds “are very photogenic” they do not pose any threat.
The funnel clouds are expected to dissipate in short order.
