Fire in Baden

The fire prevention officer is on scene investigating, following a fire in Baden this morning. Six people are out of their homes but fire officials say there were no injuries.
About 42 firefighters responded around 3:20 this morning, to the building that had been converted into apartments.
Wilmot Township Fire Chief John Ritz says, “The fire was very stubborn to get at it. It rolled up through an open window, from the outside it appears, and entered the attic space so it was very difficult to get to. It took a lot of man power in the heat to be able to deal with it.”
The cause of the blaze is still being investigated and there’s no word yet on a damage estimate.
