Guelph crash sends Erin man to hospital

A 43 year-old Erin man is in hospital with serious injuries after a head on collision with a fuel tanker on Woodlawn Road near Elmira road in Guelph.

Police say it happened at around 2 o’clock Wednesday afternoon.

The man reportedly lost control of his SUV and swerved into on-coming traffic. He was taken to Guelph General Hospital and later transported to Hamilton General Hospital.

Environmental Protection was called in to clean up the spilled fuel.

The crash is under investigation and anyone with information is being asked to contact the Guelph Police Traffic Division at 519-824-1212 ext 7155.
