Players and coaches say it doesn’t get any better than this. The Vancouver Canucks host Boston tonight in Game Seven of the Stanley Cup final.
The teams have won three games each on home ice and Vancouver coach Alain Vigneault says that works to his team’s advantage tonight.
Vigneault, who calls it an honour to play in the seventh game of a series, says the team worked hard all year to play in front of their home fans.
Crowds at the rink and in the streets are expected to be as big or bigger than the 100-thousand who came out for the last home game.
Downtown liquor stores in the city will shut early in attempts to curb any drunken antics.
The Canucks hope to win their first ever Stanley Cup tonight while Boston will be gunning for its first since the 1971-72 season.
