570’s Jeff Allan Show will be shown live across Canada today. It’s being featured on the show, “Talk Radio” on CPAC.
CPAC Executive Producer, Peter Van Dusen, says, “We travel across the country, different radio stations that engage their listeners with current affairs discussions and so, an election campaign, nothing is more an affair of the nation and nothing is more current…”
Van Dusen says it’s about finding out what people across the country are saying. He says, “We also have the added dimension of putting that radio call-in show…on a national television channel so that people from across the country can see…and hear not only what the issues are in a particular region, but they get a chance to call in…”
Van Dusen adds that the response to the show is generally good, even if the viewers don’t always agree with the hosts.
He points out that the Kitchener area is particularly interesting because the seats have shifted overtime, which means this is an area that the parties are really targeting. He says, “This is in many ways a sort of microcosm of the kind of dynamic that is taking place in…the wider Ontario battleground where there are these very close races…”
Here’s how it sounded when Jeff signed on…
