Canadian warplanes fly over Libya

Canadian warplanes have flown their first mission over Libya, but defence sources say it did not involve attacking ground targets. The planes are helping to enforce the no-fly zone.
This comes as the House of Commons is set to debate the Libyan crisis and Canada’s military role.
Meanwhile, A-B-C News is reporting a gap is developing between the U-S and Britain over whether forces should go after Libyan Leader Moammar Gadhafi.
The U-S says that is not its aim — but it does say the no-fly zone is working and will be expanded to the capital Tripoli soon.
Libyan leader Moammar Gadhafi is vowing a “long war.”
In an attack late yesterday, a cruise missile blasted a building in Gadhafi’s residential compound, near his iconic tent.
It’s not known where Gadhafi was at the time.
