Police kept busy during St. Patrick’s Day

St. Patrick’s Day 2011 is now in the books. Local police officers were kept busy trying to keep festivities in check.

Waterloo Regional Police do not have all the numbers in yet, but say it was a typical night in terms of complaints ranging from drunks to bylaw violations.

In Guelph, police do have some stats.

They say between 7 yesterday morning and 7 this morning they responded to over 180 calls. They say 62 were liquor investigations, 46 were noise complaints and six people were arrested for being intoxicated.
