No discipline in Guelph Police botched sudden death call

No one in the Guelph Police Service will be disciplined for a botched sudden death call in January.
The police chief has wrapped up his internal review and is satisfied that although the situation was not handled exactly according to current policy direction, there is no officer misconduct.
Chief Rob Davis calls it an honest mistake.
Police were called to the Days Inn on Gordon Street on January 11th, where officers received a report that a woman was found dead in her room, but she turned out to still be alive.
The service has identified a training issue and will work with EMS and fire officials to help ensure a similar situation does not arise.
