Harper releases William & Kate’s Canadian tour itinerary

OTTAWA – Start practising your curtsy Canada, the royals will be here this summer.

The Prime Minister’s Office has confirmed that Prince William and Kate Middleton will take their first official trip as a married couple to Canada.

The newlyweds will arrive on June 30 and tour the country until July 8.

They’ll visit Alberta, the Northwest Territories, Prince Edward Island, Quebec and the Ottawa area.

Prime Minister Stephen Harper invited the couple to Canada after they announced their engagement last November. The wedding is April 29.

Canadian stamps are being issued in their honour and discussions are ongoing about what will be presented as the official wedding gift.

They are asking for charitable donations.
