Man dies of crash injuries

A Paris man has died of injuries he suffered in a crash in Waterloo on Tuesday morning.

Police say 44-year-old Allen Hofstetter passed away this morning.

He was rushed to hospital in Hamilton after being struck by a car on Weber Street near Parkside Drive as the electrical worker was setting up orange cones and warning signs behind his truck.

29-year-old Colin Hughes of Waterloo is charged with dangerous driving and criminal negligence causing bodily harm.

He’s due in court March 23rd.
