Thousands of toys

Sun Life Financial Canada is feeling the Christmas Spirit, and sharing it with the Salvation Army.
The president of the company came up from Toronto today to visit the Sun Life head office in Waterloo at King and Union as employees dropped of thousands of toys in the company’s annual Holiday Toy Drive.
President, Kevin Dougherty, tells 570 News they’ve been doing this toy drive for 15 years now for the Salvation Army.
From Sun Life’s Waterloo office, Senior Vice President of Individual Insurance and Investments, Kevin Strain, tells 570 News the Kitchener-Waterloo employees really feel a connection to the community and this annual toy drive is very important to them.
He says between all the employees at the King and Union office, and the one on Westmount, the donated toys will be measured by the thousands.
The toy drive got a boost today from a live morning broadcast on location at the King and Union building on our sister station, KIX 106.
The toy drive runs until December 22.
