Rides for vets

A local cab company is doing its part to ensure veterans are able to attend Remembrance Day services on Thursday.

Waterloo Taxi is offering free rides to vets to and from the ceremonies. To find out more, call (519) 888-7777.

And GO Transit is offering free GO transportation on Remembrance Day for veterans and their companion.

Veterans are asked to identify themselves by wearing their medals, beret, blazer, uniform, or other similar belongings while traveling.
