Pin found in candy

Another reminder from police for parents to be diligent when it comes to checking childrens’ Halloween candy.

Police are investigating after an open safety pin was found inside a package of goodies Halloween night.

Police say the candy was collected by a 3-year-old in Cambridge and discovered by their parent.

Police say the child was not hurt and it’s not known if the pin was intentionally placed in the package.

The candy was collected in the area of Chalmers Street South and Champlain Boulevard in Cambridge.
