There is just one weekend left before summer ends, but an expert at Environment Canada says don’t write the obituary just yet.
Dave Phillips says that even though fall starts next week, it will feel more like an Indian summer.
There won’t be any heat or humidity, but he says the temperatures will be lukewarm– cool overnight, but comfortable during the day.
It has been cooling off since Labour Day, but many people in Waterloo Region say they aren’t quite ready to put their summer wardrobe away.
Phillips says they don’t have to, and that they should keep their lawn furniture out and consider playing hookie on the nice fall days.
He predicts we will get an old fashioned winter, with our first real snowfall around Remembrance Day and he says the ground could be white until April.
