Call for blood donation

With the summer holiday season fast approaching, there’s an urgent call for blood.
Bookings to give blood at the K-W clinic are down between 10 and 20 per cent.
Locally, Canadian Blood Services needs to collect over 725 units of blood in the next few weeks.
Tara Brodrecht is the Community Development Coordinator at the KW Blood Donor Clinic.
Brodrecht tells 570 News it is typical of this time of year, especially with a long weekend approaching.
She says if you haven’t given blood before it usually takes about 45 minutes to an hour.
The K-W clinic is located at 94 Bridgeport Road East in Waterloo.
