Schools going to full-day kindergarten

The McGuinty government has unveiled the next wave of Ontario schools that will adopt full-day kindergarten. Eight local elementary schools will change their schedules starting in September of next year. They include Blessed Sacrament, Forest Hill, St. John, St. Teresa and Wilson Avenue Public School in Kitchener. Winston Churchill is the only school in Waterloo to start keeping kindergarten kids all day next year. In Ayr, Ayr Public School and Cedar Creek Public School will offer it. In total, two hundred schools across the province will provide full-day kindergarten as part of the second phase of the program. Twenty-one local schools were part of the first phase, which begins this fall.
