Arson at Kitchener apartment

Police are investigating two suspicious fires at a building in Kitchener. Officers say the blazes were deliberately set and could be linked. Someone set a cardboard box on fire in the early morning hours of June 7th. A 16 year old white boy ran away and was last seen in the Fairway Road North area. He wearing a black toque and navy blue shirt. Six days later, someone poured gas on the floor of a laundry room lined with newspapers but it did not ignite. A resident called the fire department and when they arrived, they saw two youths in the rear of the building. They left the scene before police could speak to them. A red gas can and two lighters were seized near the scene. Police are asking residents in the area to check their sheds and garages to see if they are missing theirs.
