Governor General visit

Waterloo Region will play host to Governor General Michaelle Jean and her husband Jean-Daniel Lafond today.
They have several stops planned starting with a visit to the BlackBerry Manufacturing Plant this morning at 11.
From there, their Excellencies will meet with the mayors of Kitchener and Waterloo and the regional chair over the noon hour.
Next up is a visit to the Mennonite Central Committee offices in Kitchener at one o’clock.
The highlight of their visit comes at 3 o’clock, when they host an Art Matters public forum at the Centre in the Square.
They will close out their visit taking in the opening night of the Globe Theatre’s Elephant Wake at 8 o’clock at the University of Waterloo.
