Centre Wellington a winner

The Township of Centre Wellington is cashing in on slot machines at Grand River Raceway.

The township got over 500 thousand dollars from the OLG yesterday, its share of the slots 4th quarter revenue.

The OLG Slots at Grand River opened in December of 2003 and have since attracted over 3.8 million visitors.

Any municipality that hosts an OLG-slots-at-racetrack facility gets five per cent of the gross slot machine revenue for the first 450 machines, then two per cent for any additional machines.
