Tuesday marked back-to-school for many families in southern Ontario, including in the City of Stratford.

“This stop occurred as students were beginning to travel to their first day of school and were beginning to arrive at the two nearby high schools,” said police.

“With school buses travelling on this route along with many young drivers travelling to the two schools, speeds of this nature put everyone at risk of harm.”

Police will continue to monitor the area as part of the service’s return to school traffic safety initiative.
