Get “Active Kitchener.”

No, it’s not an order.
It’s the name of a program being launched today by the city.
“Active Kitchener” stems from the provincial initiative  “Active 2010” and the city’s Supervisor of Athletics Bob Cheyne tells 570 News they want to make it more than a one day thing.
He says the idea is to provide varied activities around the city to help residents get fit and stay fit.
The activities are all free and varied, ranging from skating and swimming to
orienteering to a boxing “sparring/training session.”
They’re taking place at all Kitchener indoor pools, at the Activa Sportsplex and the Breithaupt Centre.
