A dry January

January was the driest in Waterloo Region in almost 30 years.
Temperatures were also above average according to stats. from the University of Waterloo Weather Station.
Total precipitation was just under 28 mm, making it the driest January since 1981.
We also saw just 17.5 cm of snow hit the ground.
We have had only 47 cm of snow this winter, compared to around 200 cm at the same time last year.
