Ontario teachers’ records stolen in Waterloo

The private records of 8,600 teachers in the province have been stolen from an insurance office in Waterloo.
Laptops containing teachers’ names, addresses and social insurance numbers were stolen from the Ontario Teachers Insurance Plan nearly two months ago.
Regional police say most of the teachers work at elementary schools for the Toronto District School Board. They were informed of the theft last week.
