Cormier done for season

Canada’s Captain at the recent World Junior Hockey Championships won’t play again this season.

The Quebec Major Junior Hockey League has suspended Patrice Cormier for the rest of the campaign, which includes the playoffs.

He elbowed Quebec Remparts defenceman Mikael Tam in the head in a game on Sunday, January 17th.

Tam went into convulsions on the ice and was admitted to hospital with brain trauma.

Cormier is a draft pick of the New Jersey Devils.
