Talks continue at Ontario’s community colleges

In an effort to head off a strike, negotiators for Ontario’s community colleges and their instructors will resume bargaining today.
Tyler Charlebois, with the College Student Alliance tells 570 news students fear the school year will be lost in the event of a walkout. He says the uncertainty is running high especially among students in their final year of study.
Charlebois says he considers post-secondary eduction an essential service.
Some 900 faculty members recently voted in favour of strike action, although no date has been set for any possible walkout.
