Another record for home sales

Home sales in Kitchener Waterloo set another record in December.

They hit 356, a 60-per cent increase over the same month a year ago and a 15-per cent increase over the previous record set in 2006.

Year-to-date, local home sales were up by almost
six-per cent over last year.

Head of the K-W Real Estate Board Ted Scharf says 2009 got off to a slow start because of economic concerns, but he says consumers are now gaining confidence.
