A man is facing several charges following a weapon incident in Kitchener.
It happened at a health centre located in the area of Duke Street West and College Street, around 5 p.m. Thursday.
Staff were allegedly threatened by a man who was armed with an expandable baton.
A suspect was arrested in the area shortly after police received word about the incident.
A 36-year-old man has been charged with assault with a weapon, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, and breaching a release order.
The accused was held in custody for a bail hearing.
No one was injured.
