Man breaks into Kitchener residence, sexually assaults female inside

A Kitchener man has been arrested stemming from a break and enter and sexual assault in Kitchener.

Police were called to a residence in the Forest Hill Drive and Westmount Road area on Thursday morning around 1:35 a.m.

It's reported a man broke into the residence and sexually assaulted a female victim. According to police, there were no physical injuries sustained.

Officers arrived to the scene and found a male suspect still inside of the residence. He was taken into custody.

A 71-year-old man has been charged with offences including sexual assault.
