Armed suspect robs Kitchener convenience store

Police say they are investigating a robbery at a Kitchener convenience store which involved a firearm.

Officers responded to the store, located in the area of Victoria Street North and Lancaster Street West, around 11:30 p.m. on Monday.

According to police, a male suspect entered the store, and demanded merchandise from the employee. He exited the store, and fled the area in an unknown direction.

No one was hurt.

The suspect is described as 5'9″, around 230 lbs., and had a dark goatee.

He was last seen wearing a light coloured ball cap, a baseball jersey, light jeans and black shoes.
