Panthers pick up home win over Barrie

The Kitchener Panthers picked up their 14th win of the season at home to the Barrie Baycats on Sunday afternoon.

The final was 9-5 in favour of the Panthers.

Stephen Whalen had a day. He went 3-for-5 with two RBI and three runs.

Jordan Carthy had two hits, including a solo home run, his first of the season.

Jacob Douglas (5-2) went six innings for the win. Three of the five runs he allowed were unearned. He gave up 10 hits, walked two and struck out five.

Kitchener is scheduled to host the Welland Jackfish at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
