Waterloo city council approves new apartment building

Waterloo city council has given the go ahead for a new eight storey apartment building in the Northdale area of the city.

The building will be located at the corner of Columbia Street West and Hemlock Street.

It will contain 136 units, as well as 77 vehicle parking spaces and close to 40 bicycle spaces.

The building will predominately feature one bedroom units with ground level commercial space.

A public walkway will also go in, extending from Columbia to Hemlock Street.
