More road reconstruction starting at King and Ottawa Monday

By Christine Clark

A Kitchener intersection already riddled with construction and lane closures, is about to get even worse.

Starting Monday morning, road reconstruction in the Ottawa Street South and King Street East area will have another closure for motorists to detour around.

For the next three months (until December 3rd), King Street will be fully closed from Onward Avenue through to Sydney Street, which includes the intersection of King and Ottawa.

Ottawa is already closed from Brick Street to Charles Street East for road reconstruction and won't be opening until late November.

Those looking to get through the King and Ottawa intersection will have to detour using Weber Street East, Borden Avenue South and Charles Street East.

Full project and detour information can be found on the Region's construction and road closure page.
