Heat warning issued for Tuesday, Wednesday

The heat will be on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Environment Canada has issued a heat warning for Waterloo Region.
Temperatures on both days could be in the mid-30 degree Celsius range, with overnight lows only in the mid-20s.
On Tuesday, June 21, the region hit a new record high temperature.
It was 34.1 degrees.
The previous record from 1923 was 33.3 degrees.
Cooler air is expected to arrive by Thursday.
“Hot and humid air can also bring deteriorating air quality and can result in the Air Quality Health Index approaching the high risk category.” the weather agency also warned.
